Hi Markus,

if I read correctly yesterday, Christoph wanted this patch in the 2.3 release. 
My previous understanding (or maybe wishful thinking) was that he suggested 
not to have this change in the 2.3 release. So I postponed the change until 
after the release (read now).

Since the release is out, I suggest _not_ to put it into the 2.3 release 
series at all. Personally, I think this change is better suited for 3.0 anyway.
