Hi Tobias,
ah yes sure, Clang 3.5 on Unix works fine. I think the problem is, that
on Windows they want to be compatible with the Visual C++ compiler. They
mimic it's behavior but it is a lot of work as it changes with every
version. I know they do not support Visual Studio 2013 but I don't want
to mix compilers anyway. Probably they are not yet done with exceptions.
There are a lot of codes which avoids exceptions at all, e.g. most of
Google's C++ projects.
Maybe Clang works fine on Windows but I used it in the Visual Studio
friendly setting. If the setup becomes more complicated, I am no longer
interested in testing it. I don't feel like getting my hands really
dirty for Windows ;-)
Bye

GDB does hate your application, expresses its contempt through the
design of its command-line interface. -- Tom Tromey, FOSDEM 2014
