Hi Oliver,
if I remember correctly in the past you had to explicitly add the MPI
flags to your target, otherwise it was sequential. With the use of
dune_enable_all_packages() and MPI found on your system, every target
becomes a parallel executable.

This was never explicitly discussed. I don't know whether I like the
current behavior more then the old one. In both cases you have to
teach the user to do something  (adding a flag vs. adding a call for
initialization) to avoid a surprise.

Unfortunately, plots are notoriously hard to get right. Partly, the
default settings of programs like gnuplot or Excel are to blame for
this since these programs make it very convenient to create bad plots.
