[Dune-devel] Are installed DUNE python bindings used?

Hi,

it seems line DUNE's Python bindings are used. I myself have never looked into
them before December. I had to learn quite some things the hard way up to now
and am slowly wondering whether making system installed python bindings is feasible
and a reasonably sized job

How are using those Python bindings, currently?

Has anybody ever used ones that were installed on the system to a location with only
read access?

Is this supposed to work or do we usually need write access because we will compile
stuff on demand (there seems to be a cmake switch in dune-common to precompile.
