Hi all,<div><br></div><div><div><div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">I've created two patches which you may find useful for dune fem io.</div><div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">
</div><div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px"></div><div style="font-size:1em;line-height:1.2;font-family:Helvetica,arial,freesans,clean,sans-serif;border:none"><p style="margin:1em 0px">The first <code style="font-size:0.85em;font-family:Consolas,Inconsolata,Courier,monospace;margin:0px 0.15em;padding:0px 0.3em;white-space:nowrap;border:1px solid rgb(234,234,234);background-color:rgb(248,248,248);border-top-left-radius:3px;border-top-right-radius:3px;border-bottom-right-radius:3px;border-bottom-left-radius:3px;display:inline">dataoutput-checkwillwrite.patch</code> makes sure that a call to <code style="font-size:0.85em;font-family:Consolas,Inconsolata,Courier,monospace;margin:0px 0.15em;padding:0px 0.3em;white-space:nowrap;border:1px solid rgb(234,234,234);background-color:rgb(248,248,248);border-top-left-radius:3px;border-top-right-radius:3px;border-bottom-right-radius:3px;border-bottom-left-radius:3px;display:inline">dataOutput.write()</code> with no arguments still checks if the user wants to write using <code style="font-size:0.85em;font-family:Consolas,Inconsolata,Courier,monospace;margin:0px 0.15em;padding:0px 0.3em;white-space:nowrap;border:1px solid rgb(234,234,234);background-color:rgb(248,248,248);border-top-left-radius:3px;border-top-right-radius:3px;border-bottom-right-radius:3px;border-bottom-left-radius:3px;display:inline">willWrite()</code>. This changes the functionality to match the documentation.</p>
<p style="margin:1em 0px">The second <code style="font-size:0.85em;font-family:Consolas,Inconsolata,Courier,monospace;margin:0px 0.15em;padding:0px 0.3em;white-space:nowrap;border:1px solid rgb(234,234,234);background-color:rgb(248,248,248);border-top-left-radius:3px;border-top-right-radius:3px;border-bottom-right-radius:3px;border-bottom-left-radius:3px;display:inline">dataoutput-writepvd.patch</code> adds an extra output file of type <code style="font-size:0.85em;font-family:Consolas,Inconsolata,Courier,monospace;margin:0px 0.15em;padding:0px 0.3em;white-space:nowrap;border:1px solid rgb(234,234,234);background-color:rgb(248,248,248);border-top-left-radius:3px;border-top-right-radius:3px;border-bottom-right-radius:3px;border-bottom-left-radius:3px;display:inline">.pvd</code>. This is similar to the already created <code style="font-size:0.85em;font-family:Consolas,Inconsolata,Courier,monospace;margin:0px 0.15em;padding:0px 0.3em;white-space:nowrap;border:1px solid rgb(234,234,234);background-color:rgb(248,248,248);border-top-left-radius:3px;border-top-right-radius:3px;border-bottom-right-radius:3px;border-bottom-left-radius:3px;display:inline">.series</code> file, but is readable by paraview. This allows use of the time at which the output files represents, which may be useful to compare runs over with different timesteps etc. Perhaps this maybe more useful than the .series file.</p>
