That skript is not specific to vtk-files, the name diff actually pretty much
implies that it won't work with binary-files in any useful manner, and giving
it the ending .pl will make it harder should somebody want to rewrite it in
another language later.  Moreover dropping fuzzy from the name removes any
hint that the comparison isn't exact.

Is there any reason for this change?  It's probably not important enough to
revert it, but to me it looks like this commit actually made things a little
worse.
