Thank you very much for your answer.

I guess gnuplot writer is this: http://www.dune-project.org/doc/doxygen/dune-grid-html/class_dune_1_1_gnuplot_writer.html ? Is there some sample code how to use it?

Otherwise the vtkwriter with ascii seems to look fine.
