you're right, I'm using the 2.1.1 version of the core modules and
the 2.1 snapshot of pdelab and pdelab-howto.<br>
I thought it worked. Therefore, you're saying that I have to use the
2.1 version of the core modules, isn't it?<br>

seems like you are using the 2.1.1 version of the core-modules,<br>
are you using the 2.1 snapshots of dune-pdelab and
dune-pdelab-howto?<br>
For me in the 2.1 version dgoverlapping compiles without problems.<br>
