[Dune] FS#271 - Test applications with beta tarballs.

Dear all,

we should try got have a timeline for FS#271. Oliver is back now and
added his tests to the list. I finished my tests.

Once you finished your tests please add the results to the
comments. If you find bugs fix them, or add ed bug report marked for
version 1.0.

Does anybody know what happened to Mario; it seems he is MIA. He
didn't add any tests, nor did reply to any of the last discussions.
