[Dune] Debuging

Dear Dune -Developers,

I tried to debug my application but most frequently I get an error message 
like: "No symbol "varaible name" in current context". I changed the cflag 
option in Makefile "CFLAGS = -g -O2" to "CFLAGS = -g"  it became better but 
there are still lots of variables that give the same error message.

What do I need to do? Are there some global options for dune
that makes debugging more friendly?
