Both Alu2d and Alu3d do not implement this methods correctly.

I do not understand why these methods should be in the
interface (also in view of the fact that also onD and
UG do not implement these correctly see 238 239).
And if these methods are require then they should they not
be available for all codim>0?

Having two methods in the interface which seems to have only
one possible application - which in most cases can be just as
efficiently implemented using other methods in the grid - 
does not seem to fit into the slim interface concept.
