Well Andreas,

1) as I remember and read the minutes, we decided to base the GridViews on the GridParts.

2) if you are really missing something within the IndexSet Interface, why don't you tell anybody?
   Sure we can have all these slightly different interfaces for more or less the same stuff, but this will neither help in maintaining the code, nor will it help new users in understanding the code.

So... what exactly is missing in the indexset interface, why is the current interface not sufficient and why is it not enough to use the indexsets via the wrapper inside fem and why must it be added to the gridparts?
