Details - In Berlin we agreed that the intersection should be an object by itself. Now, it has a similar standing as the entity. Therefore, I suggest the following changes to the interface:

* rename intersectionGlobal
      to geometry
* rename intersectionSelfLocal
      to geometryInSelf
* rename intersectionNeighborLocal
      to geometryInNeighbor
* add GeometryType type () const
