I prepared a little patch that will make the generic geometry stuff compile. It simply states that all reference elements of dimension 4 or higher don't need renumbering. Though this is wrong for codimensions 2,...,dim-1 of hypercubes (and it removes the current fail-safe net), this should help you making the test compile again.

Using this patch, the YaspGrid test still fails since ReferenceElements< double, 4 >::general is not in the lib.
