The CoordFunction Helix maps from 2d to 3d. This cannot work with a 3d host grid. To solve this problem, I switched the default CoordFunction in the Makefile to "IdenticalCoordFunction", which can handle arbitrary-dimensional grids (though it is pretty useless),
