Hi Christian,

 > #warning "The ALUGrid-library wasn't compiled for parallel usage. ...

This warning is jsut telling you that you cannot use ALUGrid in parallel 
since the bindings in the library for parallel computations are missing.

When you configure ALUGrid (after you carefully read the README file in 
the ALUGrid-1.22 directory) you get a message whether ALUGrid can be 
used for serial or parallel runs. If MPI is not found automatically then 
proceed as described in the README file.
