Hi Andreas,

I can't reproduce this problem here are my timings (without any changes) for the finite volume example from 1.2:

dune 1.2: user	0m0.752s
dune 2.0: user	0m0.544s

which compiler fags did you use?

I used "-O3 -funroll-loops" with gcc 4.3
