If -O2 implies -fstrict-aliasing and -fstrict-aliasing breaks dune, you should imho either
 * emit a warning when configure is run and -O2 or -fstrict-aliasing is detected (good, but not foolproof)
 * quit with an error when configure is run and -O2 or -fstrict-aliasing is detected (better yet, but still not foolproof)
 * append(!) -fno-strict-aliasing to CXXFLAGS as long as the issue persists (no downsides that i'm aware of)
