Firstly, you said you wanted to see the difference in performance between different allocators. I hinted to you a simple way to see for yourself.

Secondly, you (c) did not include testing standard allocators and as hinted to Carsten, implement the PolyAllocator interface through standard allocators (without _any_ overhead) and you can use them.

As to your last question: I wrote the SmallObjectAllocator while trying to implement Carsten's STL suggestion. I did not manage, but obviously left the SmallObjectAllocator in the repository. You have my permission to remove it directly, if you like.
