This is not a bug. First of all indexInInside() is the index of a subentity, i.e. a face that contains the intersection while geometryInInside() is the geometry of the intersection within the element. For nonconforming grids the insertection might be smaller then the face. Hence the geometries of both can in general not coincide.

Furthermore the embedding of a face into an element can not coincide with the corresponding embedding in the reference element for all elements. Notice that faces are enities itself whose geometry maps (and thus local coordinates) are fixed independently on the elements it touches.
