THIS IS AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE, DO NOT REPLY.

A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.

User who did this - Matthias Wohlmuth (matthias)

Attached to Project - Dune
Summary - Default accuracy of matlab file writer not sufficient
Task Type - Bug Report
Category - ISTL
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To -
Operating System - Unspecified / All
Severity - Low
Priority - Normal
Reported Version - SVN (pre2.2)
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - Hi,
I recently experienced some very strange behaviour when I assembled a convection-diffusion-reaction problem in PDELab, wrote it to a Matlab-File and solved it with Matlab. The reason turned out to be the default number of digits (8). This is not enough if the contributing operators scale differently with h. To solve this problem, I attached a patch which adds a default argument outputPrecision=18 to the file writer. This solved the problem for me and should not break any old code.
Best,
Matthias
