Actually I think we should still fix this problem, as we agreed to support these old compilers.

Up to now there were three suggestions. I think it is time for a vote.

a) rename/move utitlity to src
b) move utility to a seperate module (who is doint it?!)
c) just drop utility from the release branch

I consider c as a first step for b.

As it was my suggestion, I vote for a)
