As far as I remember, this test was originally written by Oli. I do not have any reference data.

If I'm not mistaken, the purpose of this test was to prove that the implementation of the matrix inversion was insufficient. In this sense, the test was never supposed to work at all.

Furthermore, the given matrix actually has a determinant of around 10^{-16}, while having entries of order 10^{14}. Maybe the author of the test could provide an algorithm computing the inverse of this matrix up to an adequate tolerance (whatever that is).
