Just for the book keeping: The implementation of edges in UGGrid is not complete yet. As Oliver told me it is missing edge iterators. Furthermore EntiySeeds for edges seem not to work. You can verify this by enabling edges in the capabilities (patch attached) and trying to compile test-ug.
