@Martin: I agree that the situation should probably not be changed without an actual discussion.  You are right that such a subtle thing should not be changed lightly.  On the other hand I wonder how many people are actually aware of this issue.  I wasn't until very recently.

I am against disabling the test for UG.  First of all, I am against special-casing in the tests in general.  Secondly, UG is not really the issue here. Even though UG recently acquired edge entities, the test for them will not be enabled.  Reason: for a grid to provide edges in the sense of the Dune grid capabilities, (I think) you need global iterators over the edges, and I don't think these will be implemented soon.
