Details - I propose to do a 2.2 release of the Dune core modules, with the following simple time frame:

2.5.2012:  Create release branches

1.6.2012:  Release!

That way we'll have the release before the pdesoft conference, even with a bit of leeway.

Also, after the creation of the branches we (i.e., Ansgar) can start uploading snapshots of the 2.2 branches to Debian.

I volunteer to be release manager for this release.  Maybe one other person can volunteer to help.

Please make this FlySpray entry depend on all bugs that you consider release-critical.
