I like the idea.  Although this is pretty meaningless for C++98-compilers, it shouldn't cause any problems, since it doesn't use any C++11-code itself.

This is an interface addition though so I suppose we'll have to vote on it.  I'm in favor in any case.

Is everybody OK with the names entities() and intersections()?  range() and irange() come to my mind as alternatives, but I don't really mind either way.
