Like Oliver said, I did not reject Cmake. I just think the development should go into a separate branch and the arguments of Andreas actually urge one to do this.

If everything works like before, I do not see any problems to even switch over to CMake. It seems to have various intriguing attributes.
In the meantime I am very satisfied with using the autotools. They are a beast, but still very flexible.

I am sorry, if I sounded to harsh, before.
