I am not sure I understand the problem. Indeed, the implementation in densevector.hh does not work for complex numbers, because it doesn't conjugate anything. But what is wrong with the obvious fix of conjugating the second operand, and clearly stating in the documentation that it's always the second one that get's conjugated?
