Thanks. But I have to admit that (like the removal of the compress method) this was the easy part. What needs to be done next, is testing (and not just compiling). I won't have time for this. That's why I will move the FiniteStack implementation to alugrid/common/, because this way the expensive part of the change, the testing, can be skipped.
