Details - We provide different vtkwriters with a common coarse grained interface. It would be very convenient to have a common baseclass, so that I could write code, which only knows, that it uses some kind of VTKWriter (obviously we have to keep the template parameters), but it doesn't matter if it is a normal one, subsamplingvtkwriter, or something completely different.
