I have tried it on Windows not too long ago, only for dune-common. This is documented at http://users.dune-project.org/issues/106. 

It seems that CMake did its job quite ok, the remaining issues seem to be on the compiler side. At some point, I will try it also for dune-istl and dune-common, but this will take a bit of time.
