Since actions speak louder than words - that's also how I think that Christian's last comment was meant ;-) - I extracted the CMake scripts in our project for building DUNE. After fiddling with them for two days I finally uploaded them as a separate project on Github: https://github.com/saschazelzer/DUNE-superbuild

I think this is orthogonal to Christoph's efforts (it does not change the way how DUNE modules are build, it is rather similar to dunecontrol). However, it will be easy to adapt the scripts in the future to build CMake based DUNE modules. I would also be interested to work (with Christoph?) on the CMake stuff for handling cross module dependencies natively via CMake.
