Of course Martin is right about the assignment.

Putting the python stuff in a library is also a good idea. However we would still need to include Python.h in the header. This should be OK if we only use the definitions but having some PYTHON_CXX_FLAGS incorporated could tempt the user to use stuff from Python.h which would be dangerous without -fno-strict-aliasing. IMHO it's would be OK to include it in the python flags. If you don't want to use it, don't include the python flags. If you do, then you have to pay for it.
