In my opinion, the CommDataHandle interface should also revised. Not all sematics are clear to me. Examples are:
(a) If fixedsize is true: with what entity do I call the size method? (in my opinion, there should be a second method without an entity in this case).
(b) why das fixedsize not take a GeometryType argument but a codimension? (data size will usually be fixed per GeometryType but not per codimension).
(c) why does contains not take a GeometryType argument?

Given the fact that some parallel grids like UGGrid or YaspGrid do not implement entities for all codimensions, I have another question:
Does an entity need to provide a geometry to be used in communication (should we, e.g., add a capability hasGeometry)?
