That patch produces a new error on my system.  I have dune-common installed globally from the Debian package.  When calling dunecontrol in a directory with a local set of modules I get

sander at igel:~/dune$ ./dune-common/bin/dunecontrol --opts=dune.opts --only=dune-richards all
ERROR: multiple definition of module dune-common
previous defined in:
  /home/sander/dune/dune-common/dune.module
redefined in:
  /usr/lib/dunecontrol/dune-common/dune.module
Execution of dunecontrol terminated due to errors!

This goes away when I revert your patch.
