With revisions trunk at 8138 to trunk at 8144 I changed {Prism,Pyramid}Triangulation to use GenericGeometry::Geometry instead of something homegrown.  This makes the test pass again for me.

The remaining two refinements (HCubeTriangulation and Simplex) still use their homegrown Geometries, but store them by value now.  I should probably replace them by GenericGeometry as well while I still have the code in short-term memory.

@Christoph: Can you test whether your testcase still crashes?
