Hrm.  I just had the bright idea to check whether the returned coordinates are actually inside the reference element (as they should be).  Turns out, for the sub-element positions of {Pyramid,Prism}Triangulation this was apparently never the case, and it still isn't.

Since usually only the sub-vertex positions are used (e.g. in SubsamplingVTKWriter) this never caused any trouble so far.
