[Dune] Distribution of boundary Id's ?

Dear Dune, this question was probably discussed already, but just to be sure:

what happens to Boundary Id's in the parallel case ?
As I Understood, they are read sequentially on the master process (rank 0)
and then distributed to all other processes ?

Is this still the case ? Or, is this more an 'accidental feature' one should not
rely on to be on the safe side ?
