[Dune] insertionIndex

Good morning,
I always used insertionIndex factory's method before any change 
(refinement, load balance) in my grid with success.
Now I need it to backup my grid, then after a ton of changes. Are these 
indices preserved and communicated during for example load balance 
procedure with ALU? Will they be in the future?
