Dear Dune community,
please allow me to abuse this list for a Dune-related job offer.
I currently have an open position for a PhD-student here at
TU Dresden. Funding comes from a project that aims to investigate
the wrinkling of thin films on elastic substrates. It therefore
involves mainly finite element methods and continuum mechanics,
with a bit of differential geometry for good measure. In particular,
though, this is an application-oriented project, and involves
quite a bit of Dune coding. There is a prototype implementation
that will need to see lot's of love and generalizations
(some details on that are given in http://arxiv.org/abs/1412.3668 ).
A group of experimentalists here at Dresden will measure wrinkling
patterns, so there will be something to compare against.
Interested parties please enquire with me for more details.
Cheers,
Oliver
