      dune-alugrid module which solves a lot of the<br>
      problems with parmetis and includes further load balancing method
      (internal and external).<br>

        for sake of completeness the problem came from metis: it was
        built using icc. Thanks for your hints, they help me.<br>
        I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question.
        I'll try:<br>
        rebuilding ALUGrid 1.52 using --with-metis flag for configure
        everything works fine, but if I use --with-parmetis configure
        tells me that it will use metis.h and stop the configuring
        process.<br>
        In my previous dune-ALUGrid building I always used both the
        flags and even if configure answered me with a WARNING about the
        use of the parmetis version of metis the usability was confirmed
        for both metis and parmetis.<span style="white-space:pre"></span>
        What has changed? How can I use parmetis for load balance?<br>
        However, till know I have never been able to use parmetis method
        and ALUGrid, causing a SIGV, any news about that?<br>
