[Dune-devel] Mixing master and releases

Dear Dune team,
I am trying to use the git master of dune-grid with the 2.3 modules from Debian.
[I do need the git master, because the UGGrid-with-external-load-balancer feature
is not in 2.3].  However, dunecontrol won't let me because dune-grid/dune.module
contains the line

Depends: dune-common (>= 3.0) dune-geometry (>= 3.0)

But I see no reason for the dependence on 3.0.  AFAICT (as far as I can tell) we
have not changed anything in dune-grid master that makes a dependence on 3.0
necessary.

Is there a good reason to depend on 3.0?  Otherwise I would ask to have the
dependence lowered to 2.3 again.
