Sounds good. Hopefully we won't interfere with your thesis.

The instant stuff might serve as a source of inspiration.
I am note sure whether we want it as an external
dependency.
I'd advice you to start with getting a feeling for Dune.
Download and install the core modules, run some examples
from the dune-grid-howto. Study the C++ sources of the
examples. We would like to get a Python interface, to use
the grid interface from Python instead of C++.
Don't hesitate to ask further question or if you get
stuck with Dune.
