[Dune-devel] CMake with Visual Studion/Windows

Hello Christoph,

thanks for the detailed report on your experience with Windows.

Since I'm not using Windows I only want to comment on the CMake part and
on the build system in general.

I think with a growing list of dune modules it is necessary to discuss
how this can be handled more easily. Calling configure (or cmake) for
each module is not very practical and also takes quite some time.
Especially since some of the tests are repeated in every module which is
really unnecessary. A modular structure on the other hand has been
proven very useful and flexible and I would like to keep it that way.

So this might be a good topic for the coffee break discussions on the
next DUNE meeting.
