Hi Steffen,
what about downloading a binary Clang [1] and use that? Could be done
within a reasonable time. Just unpack the tarball, add the flags to use
the unpacked compiler and you are done?!
Works for me like a charm, but my system is not as outdated as yours.
Still, Clang 3.3 should do the trick.
