Seriously, why? Shouldn't we as an Open-Source project try to use viable
Open-Source alternative (not to mention other reasons...)?

There is jitsi, https://meet.jit.si and a lot lot of alternative installations
that are more concerned about data privacy. There is a list at
https://jitsi.github.io/handbook/docs/community-instances (my instance is
jisti.eichstaett.social and I should increase data privacy).
