Thanks for the response.
I modified the stationary problem to solve a scalar nonlinear time 
dependent problem (with exact solution) and it worked so well. I only 
encountered this problem when trying to solve a two component time 
dependent problem. The only change now was to select the two components 
together in the local operator, then I encountered this problem.
