A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.

Attached to Project - Dune
Summary - Semantics of adaptation and refinement methods
Task Type - Bug Report
Category - Documentation
Status - New
Assigned To -
Operating System - All
Severity - Low

Reported Version - SVN

Due Date - Undecided
Details - Semantics of preAdapt(), adapt(), postAdapt(),
globalRefine(), mightBeCoarsened() are unclear.
The documentation does not answer the following questions:
1) Must preAdapt() be called before adapt() ?
2) Must postAdapt() be called after adapt() (and before marking
elements again) ?
3) How does the grid state differ before and after preAdapt(), adapt()
and postAdapt() ?
4) Must preAdapt() be called before globalRefine() ?
5) Must postAdapt() be called after globalRefine() ?
6) Is the state after globalRefine() the same as after adapt() or
postAdapt() ?
7) Does "element might be coarsened" mean "element might disappear" or
"elements children might diappear" ?
