Details - To get an MultipleCodimMultipleGeomTypeMapper for the leaf grid, you have to write something like

  Dune::LeafMultipleCodimMultipleGeomTypeMapper<Grid,Layout> mapper(grid);

If you are only given a GridView, you would rather like to do

  Dune::MultipleCodimMultipleGeomTypeMapper<GridView,Layout> mapper(gridview);

because you don't know wether it is a leaf or level view.
